  • Scope and Content
77 photographs of various New South Wales locations, camping, boating, cycling, and recreational activities, also the American Fleet visit, 1907-1909 by H. Turner (‘Turner Photo’). The photographic prints have been printed on Printing out Paper (POP) with postcard backs and inscribed “Turner Photo” or “H. Turner” on side of photograph. Some are titled and dated.

The images show various camping activities including a makeshift campsite inside a cave, and alongside the water, camping gear and equipment (eg swags, stretcher camp beds, supplies, including billy cans and biscuits), as well as boating activities, fishing, bushwalking, and members of a bicycle club (of which Turner was probably a member).

There are also images of popular tourist and scenic locations across New South Wales at the time, including Kiama, Nowra, Bulli Pass, Tumut, Thredbo, Yarrangobilly caves, Hawkesbury River, Cataract Dam, Nepean River, Kuring-Gai Chase, Kangaroo Valley, Fitzroy Falls, and the Blue Mountains.
