    A handwritten letter by botanist Aylmer Bourke Lambert (1761-1842), addressed to Dr Richard Pulteney, Blandford, Dorset, 23 November 1796. Lambert gives an account of his health and updates physician and botanist, Pulteney, on the work of Sir Joseph Banks and Surgeon-General John White and gives an insight into the work of natural historians in 18th century New South Wales. The letter is three pages long, written with ink on a folded sheet, and includes an address panel and postal stamp.
