The Gender Centre Inc. is a state-wide Government-funded organisation that provides services across four domains: psychosocial supports and wellbeing, health, homelessness, and education.
Founded as Tiresias House in 1983 with the support of the Australian Transsexual Association and the New South Wales State Government, the centre aims to support transsexual people by advocating for legal and social changes.
In 1993 Tiresias house was renamed The Gender Centre.

Mainly consists of material from when the Centre was named Tiresias House (1983-1993) and of its founding body, the Australian Transsexual Association.
