  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Sir Francis Forbes (1784-1841) served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales from 1823 to 1837 and was also a member of the Legislative Council.
    Sir Robert Wilmot Horton (1784-1841) represented Newcastle in the British House of Commons from 1818-1830 and was appointed parliamentary under-secretary in the Colonial Office in 1821, serving there until 1828.
