  • Scope and Content
    Theatrical actor, director, teacher and manager, Robert Love speaks about his life and career from his childhood in Perth and Brisbane to his current role as director of the Riverside Theatres, Parramatta, New South Wales. He discusses studying drama at the University of New South Wales, his early acting experiences, and how teaching acting led him to NIDA, the Old Tote, Sydney and an involvement in Theatre in Education taking theatre to schools and regional Australia.
    Robert discusses working with the Seymour Centre and the Toe Truck, Nimrod, York and Sydney Theatre Companies and shares anecdotes about Australian theatre personalities such as Stuart Challender, Wayne Harrison and John Gaden. He speaks in detail about the many challenges faced by the Australian theatre industry, including financial hardship and internal politics and how he has used his experience and knowledge to encourgae the growth of theatre in Wetern Sydney at the Riverside Theatres.
