Comprises 11 illustrations with handwritten captions and annotations for the children's book 'Coming Home to Country'. Each sheet is a double page spread as produced in the book, with handwritten caption text describing scenes of Bancroft returning home to country beneath each image, and differing slightly to the published version. The illustrations are a mix of traditional indigenous dot painting and bright colours, drawing inspiration from the landscape, and depicting the author’s coming home to country in northern New South Wales.

Folder 1
1. Three hills to home, lines of Country etched like wrinkles in a wise old face, pages 2/3
2. I ease into a palette of ochre green, red dust, yellow, baby blue and crimson, walk with our old people, pages 4\5
3. This is home, 6/7

Folder 2
4. Draw in the breath of the valley, feel the breeze knite the hairs on my body, embracing me in the safety of my old peoples arms, pages 8/9
5. Listen to the bird orchestra sing an exhilharating song of the day, pages 10/11
6. Run to the creek, perch on a rock, slip into crystal clear water , 12/13

7. Lie on my back and gaze deep into the sky. Watch clouds skirmish, feast on the poetry of each intricate image, pages 14/15
8. A rolling storm drops a majestic downpour, 16/17
9. The rhythm of the creek, soothes me into slumber to sleep across dreams of generations past, woven with journeys for the future yay! 18/19
