  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Mark Graham was born in Sydney and moved to Coffs Harbour with his family when he was young. Interested in the environment from an early age, he was mentored by botanist Alex Floyd OAM, the curator of the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden, whilst still in high school. Mark completed a Bachelor of Science at the Southern Cross University at Lismore, NSW, and has since worked as an ecologist for the NSW Government, Coffs Harbour Council, and the Nature Conservation Council. He is currently the Chair of Sustainable Earth Projects Limited. Mark owns three rainforest properties near the New England National Park and the Cloud Creek State Forest. He estimates that nearly 80% of his 340 hectare rainforest property and his cabin were burnt in the fires in the Clarence River catchment in September 2019.
