Celia Wyndham (1834-1926) relates her life through reminisces from her earliest memories of Harlow, near Essex where the mail was delivered from London by a Four-in-hand mail coach. She migrated to Australia in 1853 and her reflections over eight decades of change in Australia include descriptions of her 185-day voyage to Australia, the development of Walcha, life at the Wyndham family home, Dalwood in the Hunter Valley, and descriptions of married life with Hugh Wyndham, son of George Wyndham, at Bukkulla, near Inverell in northern New South Wales. - Scope and ContentReminiscences by Celia Wyndham (nee Haylock) of her life with Hugh Wyndham and family at Bukkulla and Dalwood, dictated to her daughter Mary Cardale in 1924.
