  • Scope and Content
    Sydney-born Bundjalung woman, Rhoda Roberts, discusses her life and career as a producer, director, writer, performer, arts executive and broadcaster. She begins by discussing her family and their move from Sydney to Lismore, followed by her return to Sydney to study nursing before finding her niche in the arts world. Rhoda speaks about co-founding the first black national playwrights conference in Canberra in 1987 and Aboriginal National Theatre Trust, acting in theatre productions such as Richard Walley's Munjong and Louis Nowra's Radiance, and co-producing events for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and Sydney Dreaming Festivals. She also speaks about her first husband, actor, Bill Hunter, and her current responsibilities as Sydney Opera House head of Indigenous programming.
