    William Walker (1828-1908), arrived in New South Wales in 1837, was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court in 1852 and established the firm of William Walker & Sons at Windsor where he practised until his death in 1908. He was elected to the NSW Legislative Assembly for the seat of Windsor (1860-1869) and appointed to the NSW Legislative Council (1888-1908).

    Approximately 51 manuscript letters, receipts and cheques, relating to the business and legal affairs of William Walker.
    The earliest is dated 1866, but most are dated between 1879 and 1892. Included are letters from J. B. North Stockbrokers, the Bank of New South Wales, Roberts & Roberts Solicitors and Ellis & Makinson Solicitors.
