Concerto for oboe and orchestra (2002). Commissioned by Renata and Andrew Kaldor for Diana Doherty, Lorin Maazel and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Sketches (November, 2001) including a false beginning (Leura, December 2000), original manuscript full score in pencil (Sydney, Leura, 2002), manuscript piano reduction score for oboe and piano in pencil.

Concerto for oboe and orchestra (2002). Incomplete computer score with annotations and corrections in red ink (pages 1-56), bound computer score for Ricordi (2002) with annotations and corrections in pencil and red ink, corrections to full score and parts sent by fax to Julie Simonds in August 2002 before first performance.

Maninyas: Concerto for violin and orchestra (1987-1988). Sketches in pencil, bound photocopy of manuscript score for Universal Edition with annotations and corrections in pencil and ink (cover marked ‘not up-to-date with revisions’).

Mountain village in a clearing mist (1973). Original manuscript full score in pencil, bound photocopy of manuscript score for Faber Music Hire Library with annotations and corrections in pencil.

Symphony no.2 ‘Earth spirit songs’ for soprano and orchestra (Sydney, 1997). Commissioned by Andrew Kaldor for Yvonne Kenny and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. First performance in the Sydney Opera House conducted by David Zinman, 21 August 1998. Sketches in pencil (1995-1996), rough draft manuscript full score in pencil and ink, fair copy manuscript full score in ink for Ricordi (111 pages), correspondence with Yvonne Kenny, 1995-1996.

Symphony no.3 ‘Mater magna’ (2001). Commissioned by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for the Melbourne Festival Centenary of Federation and dedicated to Peter Sculthorpe to mark his 70th birthday. Complete sketches in pencil including photocopied pages, original manuscript full score in pencil with corrections in red ink including photocopied pages (123 pages, Leura, 2000) and two bound proofed computer scores for Ricordi (revised 18 April 2001, both marked ‘obsolete’) with corrections in pencil and red ink, some made during the rehearsal and recording session under Markus Stenz, photocopy of revised ending for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performance under de Waart in August 2001 (page 60).

Symphony no.4 ‘Star chant’ for chorus and orchestra (2002). Text by Fred Watson. Dedicated to Helen Edwards. Commissioned by Symphony Australia and the Adelaide Festival of the Arts for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. Premiered by Adelaide Chamber Singers, Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus and Adelaide Symphony Orchestra conducted by Richard Mills, Adelaide Town Hall, 8 March 2002 at the Adelaide Festival. Complete sketches in pencil (2001) including photocopied pages, original manuscript full score in pencil including some photocopied pages (131 pages, Sydney, 2001), incomplete photocopy of manuscript full score (pages 1-27, with some gaps), bound reduced score for piano and chorus for Ricordi (2002, marked ‘uncorrected’), and two bound proofed computer scores for chorus and orchestra for Ricordi with corrections in pencil and red ink.

White ghost dancing (Sydney, 1999). Commissioned by Symphony Australia, with assistance from the Australia Council, for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Dedicated to David Porcelijn. First performed at the Odeon Theatre, Hobart, on 5 July 2000. Sketches in pencil, rough draft manuscript score in pencil including some photocopied pages in ink (October 1998 – May 1999), fair copy manuscript full score in ink for Ricordi 2000 (47 pages), correspondence with David Porcelijn and Symphony Australia, 1999-2000.
