Dr. Michael Kennedy was Bruce Beaver's cardiologist.
Bruce Beaver (1928-2004) was one of the foremost poets of Sydney and awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 1991 in recognition of his service to literature, particular in poetry. Over the course of this career, he won several major Australian literary awards, including the Grace Level Poetry Prize (1970), the C.J. Dennis Prize (1995), the Fellowship of Australian Writers Christopher Brennan Award (1982) and the Patrick White Award (1982).

Item 4. Letter to Dr Kennedy with a handwritten poem, "On the Muslim rape of New York and Washington".
Item 5. "Verse letter to Mr and Mrs Kennedy on their joint Medical Ethical Publication".

Item 7. "Sonnet for Dr Michael Kennedy", dated "23.9.1988".
