Phil Lesnie is a Sydney-based illustrator of children's books including Once a Shepherd (2015), A Soldier, a Dog and a Boy (2017) and Feathers (2018). A Boy and a Ball is the second collaboration between illustrator Phil Lesnie and Adelaide based author Phil Cummings. Phil Lesnie does all his preliminary drawings for his illustrations digitally using the Procreate application.
