  Incomplete autograph letter, from Rose de Freycinet to her sister-in-law Clémentine de Freycinet at Cayenne, French Guiana, sent from Paris, 9 December 1827 (4 pages on a single folded sheet, with Laage archive stamp, Dossier 183-9), describing her melancholy and mainly reporting on Clémentine’s son Louis René (Lodoïx) in Rose’s care. She is delighted to tell her sister-in-law that the King has just named Henri as Baron de Freycinet. Letter annotated by Clémentine that it was received on 14 March 1828 by the ship Caraibe from Bordeaux.
