  Incomplete autograph letter, from Rose de Freycinet to her sister-in-law Madame la Baronne H. de Freycinet (Clémentine) at Cayenne, French Guiana, sent from Paris, postmarked 27 August 1828 (final page on single leaf with shell watermark, wax seal, postmark, with Laage archive stamp, Dossier 183-10), reporting on a black necklace and some lace tulle for Clémentine, some syrup for Charles and further details regarding the education of Clémentine’s son Louis René (Lodoïx) in Rose’s care. Rose explains that they gave him the name Lodoïx to avoid confusion with her husband’s name.
