  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    The New South Wales Premier, Neville Wran, decided to redevelop Darling Harbour in 1984 in time for Australia's 1988 bicentennial celebrations. Queen Elizabeth II opened Darling Harbour on 4 May 1988.

    Edward (Ted) Ashby (1933-2007) was a professional photographer for 25 years and the owner of Warringah Commercial Photography. He then became the Head Teacher of Photography at Ultimo TAFE for approximately 15 years. Ashby retired and taught Advanced Photography at the Ballina Community College until his mid-70s.
