    Arpy Iskikian was born in Beruit, Lebanon to Armenian parents. She is a grandchild of a genocide survivor. Iskikian attended Armenian Evangelical primary and high schools and Beruit, and studied Educational Psychology in the State Pedagogical Institute of Yerevan, Armenia. She worked as a school teacher in Beruit for 12 years before migrating to Australia in 2004. Since 2005, she is an Armenian Language teacher in Sydney, New South Wales.
