  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Peggy McDonald (nee Waddington) was a dancer and performer with Tivoli Theatre in the 1930s. She married Eddie McDonald, 1937. Eddie McDonald, who was Frank Neil's vaudeville company manager, was appointed general manager of Tivoli Theatre in New South Wales, 1940.

    Tivoli Circuit Australia Pty Ltd was an Australian vaudeville entertainment circuit formed in May 1934. Frank Neil was managing director from 1935 until his death in 1940. The company produced a variety of entertainment including revue, opera, ballet, musical comedy and others.

    One bound volume with album cover in blue patterned fabric with small affixed cardboard advertisement with inscription, 'Frank Neil offers "The Blue Bloods of Variety". Tivoli, Joey Porter, Barry Breen and Wyler, Raynor Lehr and Little Willie. International celebrities from all over the world.'

    2. Letter to Eddie McDonald from Theatre Managers' Association, New South Wales branch relating to his resignation, 22 May 1968
