  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Roderick Malcolm Shaw (1915-1993) was born at Drummoyne, N.S.W. He was educated at Sydney High and at East Sydney National Art School. In 1935 he was a foundation member of the Windsor Group of Sydney artists who painted in the Hawkesbury region. In 1939 Shaw and Dick Edwards established The Barn on the Hill Press at Woolloomooloo. During World War II he was a ‘Camoufleur’ with the R.A.A.F. After the War, Shaw continued working with Edwards and became a founder of the Studio of Realist Art.
