    Suzie Miller was born in Melbourne, Victoria. She completed her education in law and science and became a human rights and children's rights lawyer before leaving the profession to pursue a career in theatre writing.

    Miller is a playwright, librettist and screenwriter. She won the Australian Writers' Guild and Kit Denton Fellowship for Writing with Courage, 2008. Her play, 'Prima Facie', won the 2020 Australian Writers' Guild Award for Drama, 2020 David Williamson Award for Outstanding Theatre Writing, and 2020 Major Australian Writers' Guild Award.
