    Anne Boyd (1946-) is an Australian composer and music educator. She completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Music from the University of Sydney, 1967, and PhD in Composition from the University of York, England, 1972. Boyd became a music educator in various academic positions including University of Sussex, 1972-77; Head of Department of Music, University of Hong Kong, 1981-1990; and Professor of Music, University of Sydney.

    Boyd received many awards including Member in the Order of Australia, 1996; Honorary Doctorate from University of York, England, 2003; Distinguished Services to Australian Music Award, APRA-AMC Classical Music Awards, 2005; and Sir Bernard Heinz Award for service to music in Australia, 2014.
