  • Scope and Content
    Quarto album bound in limp suede of gelatin silver print photographs of the property of Wokolena, east of Wagga Wagga, owned by Walter Herbert Friend. The photographs show both the original homestead in April 1919 and a newly built house in October 1928 following the destruction of the original by fire in December 1927. A range of pastoral activities are depicted, including dairy farming, hay bailing, the harvesting of lucerne (alfalfa), ploughing and mustering. There are numerous photographs of the property's livestock (Hereford cows, bulls, horses, sheep and dogs).
