  • Scope and Content
1 album of 42 photographic prints, many in carte de visite format, of the extended family and friends of Amy Brisbane Robertston from approximately 1860s to 1890s.

Portraits include Amy Brisbane Robertson (later Gilliat), her parents Sir John and Margaret, her father-in-law John Henry Gilliat, her husband Henry Alfred Gilliat and their son John Harry Brisbane Gilliat. Most photographs are captioned with names, including members of her husband's American family, her siblings and one sister's husband's family (Clarks). Numerous portraits are identified only as 'friends of Amy's, likely annotated by Amy's husband following her death. Other portraits include Admiral Markham, R.N., and Dr Charles Kinnaird Mackellar MLA and his wife Marion Mackellar, parents of poet Dorothea Mackellar.
