- Scope and ContentGlitta Supernova talks about running Gurlesque, a women’s strip club which she co-founded with fellow performer Sex Intents. She discusses the impact Gurlesque had on attitudes to sex, sexuality, and body positivity in the queer women’s community, and the ways in which Australia’s first burlesque club changed the queer performance landscape in Australia. Glitta also talks about working as a stripper and how this has influenced her solo performance work, which she describes as sex clowning. She talks about the lack of queer events and services in regional New South Wales, and how the need for community prompted her to establish the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus queer arts space and Coastal Twist LGBTIQ+ Festival on the Central Coast with her long-term partner Juan.
