  Ashaben Nakrani is the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) at the Old Age Mental Health Unit, Westmead Hospital. Previously Asha had been the Nursing Unit Manager on the Medical-Psychiatry Unit. Asha recalls the very first COVID-19 positive patient at the Medical-Psychiatry Unit, the spread of COVID-19 on the ward and the impact this had on patients, families and staff.
