- Scope and ContentAnne Boyd recounts her early childhood upbringing with her mother and two siblings and being sent to her uncle's sheet station near Longreach, Queensland for schooling. Boyd talks about her studies in Music at the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Arts (Honors), and PhD in Composition at York University, United Kingdom. She discusses her relationship and influence from composer Peter Sculthorpe, which piqued her interest in South-East Asian music and culture, and her interest in long distance running. Boyd recounts her teaching experience at the University of Sussex, 1972-1977 and being appointed Foundation Head of Music at the University of Hong Kong, 1981-1990.
