Geoffrey Sulman (1894-1917) was the son of Sir John Sulman and his second wife, Lady Annie Sulman. Unable to join the Australian Imperial Force during the First World War due to ongoing health issues, Geoffrey travelled to England to work as a mechanic for Thornycroft but was accepted into the Royal Flying Corps. Awaiting assignment to the Front, Geoffrey was killed in a flying accident while serving as an instructor-pilot in June 1917. Geoffrey Sulman was the brother of David Carment's grandfather, Tom Sulman.
